Maine camps have their own cleaning needs. After sitting closed up, there’s usually dust, cobwebs, dead bugs, pollen, and whatever else found its way in while nobody was there. At the end of the season, there’s another round of cleaning before everything gets shut down again.

Camp Opening Cleaning

Every quote is based on the rooms you choose, but a typical Camp Opening Cleaning focuses on getting the space cleaned up after sitting closed. That can include clearing accessible cobwebs and seasonal debris, dusting furniture and surfaces, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, cleaning mirrors and shower glass, wiping appliance exteriors, cleaning TV screens and visible electronics, vacuuming baseboards and upholstery, and vacuuming or mopping accessible floors. I’ll also sweep the main entry area and empty normal household trash from the rooms being cleaned.

Camp Closing Cleaning

Camp Closing Cleaning handles the regular cleaning you want done before the property is closed for the season. Depending on the rooms included, that can mean dusting, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, appliance exteriors, mirrors and shower glass, vacuuming baseboards and upholstery, and cleaning accessible floors. If the refrigerator has already been emptied, I can also give the inside a quick wipe as part of the kitchen cleaning. A more involved refrigerator clean out or detail can be added when needed.

Camp Opening and Closing are cleaning services. I don’t currently handle winterization, repairs, landscaping, dock installation, or general property management.

Camp openings and closings tend to fall into the same short windows here in western Maine, so it helps to reach out ahead of time. You don’t need to know your exact date yet to request a quote.
